It is designed to handle 80 mile per hour Winds. The Sunglo Greenhouse is insulated to an R3.1 with double walled Acrylic panels. Acrylic Plexiglass panels are the next step up from Polycarbonate panels. As you can see, the two layers of high impact acrylic form a "dead air" space. Next to a complete vacuum "dead air" is one of the best insulators on the planet. This design makes our walls solid and strong while diffusing the sunlight, a design found only in a Sunglo greenhouse. The double-wall construction (much like thermo pane), also prevents the water in the air from condensing on the walls and running to the floor. It stays in the air where the plants can use it. Our Acrylic Plexiglas walls allow for greater transparency. The acrylic plexiglass walls are also made with a special UV inhibitor, which will resist yellowing and discoloration and deterioration from age and abuse from direct sunlight. Just think how well your plants will grow without the harmful scorching effects of UV Light!
